New Splatoon game coming to Nintendo Switch,

Splatoon 3 will be released on September 9, Nintendo reports friday on Twitter. The shooting game appears for the Nintendo Switch.

Splatoon is a game in which players try to gain ground by spraying paint around. Whoever has finally painted the largest surface area wins the competition.

Players can also pelt each other with paint, temporarily disabling them.

Splatoon 3 introduces new weapons and environments in which the battles take place.

The game also gets a more extensive single-player mode than its predecessors. In addition, the creators say to have improved the multiplayer mode.

Splatoon 2 appeared in 2017 and was a sequel to the 2015 game, which only appeared for the Wii U.
