Neymar buys land in Miami valued at R$150 million

Star of Al-Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, Neymar bought land in the city of Miami, in the United States. The property is valued at R$150 million and a mansion will be built on the site. The house will be facing the sea in the village of Bal Harbor. The information was first given by the American newspaper, “The Wall Street Journal”.

The land is 2,300 m² and the house is expected to occupy 1,200 m². The company responsible for the project is Elicyon, located in London. Bal Harbor is a gated community and one of the wealthiest areas in Miami. Apparently, Neymar bought the space from Bent Philipson, founder of “Philosophy Care”. Philipson purchased the land in 2020 with a house still on it, which was demolished. It spent US$9.3 million. Later, he announced the space for US$30 million and reduced it to US$26 million, the amount paid by Neymar.

Possible transfer?

The purchase of the property sparked rumors about Neymar's possible next destination. At Inter Miami, Messi, Suárez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets met again after building their careers at Barcelona. The Brazilian could be the next to join the squad led by Messi.

It is worth mentioning that Neymar has a contract with Al-Hilal until June 2025. From January of next year, he can now sign a pre-contract. He is the third highest paid football athlete in the world, with R$624.1 million annually. It is second only to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Other houses

In 2021, Neymar acquired a mansion in Alphaville with several facilities. Air-conditioned wine cellar, panoramic elevator, garage for 20 cars, 1.6 km swimming pool and squash court are among the amenities of the place. In the same year, the player also bought the former home of actors Claudia Raia and Edson Celulari, in Rio de Janeiro. There is also a mansion in Mangaratiba, on the coast of Rio, known for its parties. It was acquired in 2016. One of the latest acquisitions was a penthouse in Balneário Camboriú in the Yatchouse building, the tallest in Latin America.
