Neymar posts fake election news and Instagram notifies

The football player, Neymar, is famous for both his skill at the game and the parties he hosts and his luxurious life. Recently, Neymar decided to take a political stance and revealed his support for current president Jair Bolsonaro.

The post he made declaring his support caused an uproar mainly because actress Bruna Marquezine, his ex, declared her support for former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Many of his fans agree with the player in his support for Jair Bolsonaro, but Neymar was also criticized.

Due to the negative comments and criticism he received due to the video he posted supporting the current president, Neymar once again took to social media to talk about his freedom of expression. “They talk about democracy and a lot of other things, but when someone has a different opinion they are attacked by the very people who talk about democracy. Go figure.”he said.

After his statements, the player returned to posting about the president and decided to publish in his stories a video of singer André Valadão talking about a retraction that would be made due to accusations against presidential candidate Lula. André Valadão supports Bolsonaro and criticizes the president's rival.

However, the text read by the singer was pointed out as false, since the president of the Superior Electoral Court, Alexandre Moraes, declared that the process is in progress and will still reach a decision. Alexandre Moraes is also a minister of the Federal Supreme Court, and the process against André Valadão does not depend on his decision, but rather on the responsible judge and minister, Maria Claudia Bucchianeri.

Neymar is also in the midst of another controversy due to a statement by Lula, who stated that the player received help from Jair Bolsonaro to forgive his income tax debts, the process of which is suspended for now. Neymar was prosecuted for tax evasion in relation to his transfer to Barcelona.
