O Rei do Gado: Geremias meets great-nephew in Italy

This Thursday, May 4th, the scene of “O Rei do Gado”, where Geremias (Raul Cortez) has a big surprise.

During his trip through Italy, he discovers that he has a great-nephew, Giuseppe (Emilio Orciollo Neto) and goes in search of meeting the boy.

Léia throws away Ralf’s things. Suzane arrives and says that she was contacted by Marcos’ lawyer and agrees to be a witness for his defense, confessing in court that she was beaten by Ralf. Geraldino tells Clóvis and Josimar that he didn’t run away, he just changed his address. Josimar tells Clóvis that he should be summoned to be a witness for the prosecution. In some ruins, Geremias imagines Bruno with Gemma during the war. Rafaela wonders why Geremias is taking so long. She remembers Grandma Gemma talking about Bruno Berdinazzi. Geremias discovers that Gemma has a grandson named Giuseppe. Bentão tells Lurdinha that the duo is over. Aparício tells Lia that he’s already tired of wandering around the country. He and Bentão think about how to formalize the end of the duo.

Geremias finds Giuseppe and introduces himself to his grandnephew. Maria da Luz warns Luana that they won’t let her work much longer because of the pregnancy. A man is looking for Luana. Geremias and Giuseppe talk, showing each other family photos. Giuseppe gets emotional when he sees the face of his grandfather Bruno. Bentão and Aparício talk in a daze, with no way of realizing that the duo is over. Lurdinha puts a point in the story. Giuseppe travels with Geremias to Brazil.

“O Rei do Gado” is a Brazilian telenovela produced by TV Globo. It aired from June 17, 1996 to February 14, 1997, replacing “The End of the World”. It was written by Benedito Ruy Barbosa, with the collaboration of Edmara Barbosa and Edilene Barbosa, with general direction by Luiz Fernando Carvalho. It had the participation of Antônio Fagundes, Patrícia Pillar, Raul Cortez, Glória Pires, Fábio Assunção, Silvia Pfeifer, Carlos Vereza and Stênio Garcia.

Luana can’t accept not being able to work anymore. She encourages Maria da Luz and Joana to join the landless with her. Aparício tells Marcos and Bruno that the duo broke up. Tavinho tells Rafaela that Valdir thinks her word is not enough to indict Bruno and Marcos. Judite tells Rafaela that Valdir took the box of candy to look for fingerprints. Maria da Luz tells Luana that she and Joana cannot go with her after the landless. Luana and Maria da Luz say goodbye. Aparício and Bruno agree. Luana returns to the road. Lupércio tells Regino that he didn’t find any sign of Luana. Zé arrives at Joana’s house. Valdir tells Rafaela that he found fingerprints on the box of bullets. Rafaela deduces that Valdir did not find any prints on a cardboard box. Zé talks to Joana, who tells him that Luana left that morning. He leaves in dismay. Valdir advises Rafaela not to insist on the version that gave Marcos the gun, otherwise the blame will fall on her. Zé calls Bruno confirming that he narrowly lost Luana, but that she is alive and working cutting cane. Bruno worries about his unborn child. Luana on a truck ride, towards Pontal de Parapanema. Regino calls saying he has no trace of Luana. Marcos asks if Luana really loves her father. Ueré and Donana miss Zé. Luana boards the train. Judite talks to Geremias by phone, who is not interested in talking to Rafaela.
