O Rei do Gado: Regino decides to return to the fight

In “O Rei do Gado”, a soap opera shown by Rede Globo, Regino (Jackson Antunes) decides to fight alongside his teammates again.

In the chapter of Thursday, May 18, Jacira (Ana Beatriz Nogueira) argues with her husband for not approving his decision, but Regino still fights.

Ueré declares himself to Donana. They sleep snuggly. It dawns and Ueré leaves with Bruno. Donana is moved by her son’s departure. Geremias delivers the deed to Rafaela and tells her not to go back there. Rafaela says that Geremias’ secret will die with her and leaves. Luana does exercises to improve her diction. Bruno surprises her affectionately. Marcos mocks Liliana about the trial, but later confesses that he is terrified. Lia tells her father that Marcos was making fun of the lawyer. Marcos enjoys his son on his lap. He changes his mind and asks to get married soon, but as a way of encouraging him, Liliana says that she will only get married if he leaves free from the trial. Walfrido tells Bruno that the defense will be based on Marcos avenging his father. Bruno fights with Marcos for his rebellion. Tavinho and Judite speculate about how Rafaela must be at the new farm, alone. Bordon tells Bruno that he has reporters interested in Marcos’ crime. Regino argues with the companions still without a settlement for them to put down their weapons. Regino agrees to fight alongside them, much to Jacira’s concern. Bruno talks to Aparício on the phone about oxen. Jacira fights with Regino for returning to the fight. Regino tells Lupércio, Dominguinhos and Formiga that he will only go without weapons. Regino says goodbye to Jacira, his son and Bia with emotion.

“O Rei do Gado” is a Brazilian telenovela produced by TV Globo. It aired from June 17, 1996 to February 14, 1997, replacing “The End of the World”. It was written by Benedito Ruy Barbosa, with the collaboration of Edmara Barbosa and Edilene Barbosa, with general direction by Luiz Fernando Carvalho. It had the participation of Antônio Fagundes, Patrícia Pillar, Raul Cortez, Glória Pires, Fábio Assunção, Silvia Pfeifer, Carlos Vereza and Stênio Garcia.

Luana arrives home all dressed up, with Lia. Bruno tells his daughter that Luana doesn’t need to change. Regino arrives at the farm and demands with the foremen to speak with the owner of the land. Jacira and Bia talk about the flame Regino has inside of him. Regino manages to convince the farmer to open the doors of his farm, so that he will be compensated, as he wishes. On leaving the farm, Formiga provokes the foremen. Giuseppe complains to Geremias that Tavinho said he wasn’t going to babysit for him his whole life, like Olegário did with Geremias. Judite says that Tavinho left and left a letter. Geremias reads the letter and then burns it. Walfrido warns Léia that her testimony at Marcos’ trial will be very difficult. The farmer instructs his foremen not to fire any shots during the occupation. The foremen warn that Lupércio, Dominguinhos and Formiga are not flowers to be sniffed at. Regino speaks to his companions that it is not to burn or destroy anything on the farm. Chiquita tells a senator that she will teach landless children. Everyone enters the farm, authorized by the owner. Donana misses Ueré. Zé excited to score the bulls he won from Bruno. Deputy Valdir returns the gun to Geremias and tells him that he is being transferred to Belo Horizonte, but with the certainty that: Geremias killed Fausto, Rafaela shot Geremias and the farm was the price of her silence. Regino and the farmer celebrate the success of the peaceful occupation. Bia tells Jacira that everything went well and she is breathing with relief. The outraged foremen with blood in their eyes. Regino drives happily, oblivious to the foremen’s hatred.
