Christopher Nolan's set

When asked about what Nolan's film set is like compared to her previous experiences in major productions, Emily Blunt, who is collaborating with the director for the first time, says: “The set of a Christopher Nolan film is the least chaotic set you will find in Hollywood. All the noise and distractions fade into the background. I'm sure Chris was dealing with a myriad of issues every day, but he didn't let it get to us. He is a tremendous talent, but in a very serene package.”

Matt Damon, who had previously collaborated with Nolan on “Interstellar (2014)” agrees and adds: “Yes, if you're on a Nolan set, you know the script will be interesting, the role will be interesting, and he'll take care of you because he really prioritizes that..” And he also talked about the absence of cuts in the films and that he didn't know about this process before working on “Oppenheimer”: “As soon as I read the script, he asked me: 'Do you think something needs to be cut here?'. I said no, because it was a story told in a very dense way, but I suggested that he make the final decision after filming. He replied: 'Oh no. If I record something, it will be used in the film.'”

The protagonist Cillian Murphy was also interviewed and claims to have spent a lot of time working on the character's look side by side with Nolan so that the construction was perfect even in personality aspects and told a little about the role. The filmmaker was full of praise for Murphy and described him as “an amazing person to be with.”

Oppenheimer VS Barbie

They also spoke about the film's box office dispute with “Barbie” and demonstrated that they did not see any problems with that, in addition to considering working with Greta Gerwig in the future, if invited.
