Oscar 2022 will feature a performance of 'We don't talk about Bruno'

Released in November 2021, the film Charm is one of Disney's most recent animations. Set in Colombia, the film tells the story of the Madrigal Family, an extraordinary group with powers. However, Mirabel is the only one who does not have any gifts and will, throughout the production, seek to discover herself and help save the Madrigals from danger.

Just like the film, the soundtrack was a success, especially the track We don´t talk about Bruno. The original song is performed by artists Rhenzy Feliz, Stephanie Beatriz, Adassa, Mauro Castillo, Diane Guerrero and Carolina Gaitá and has set several records. Among the song's highlights are several weeks in the Spotify Global Top 50 and 5 weeks in the Top 1 of the Billboard Hot 100. For this reason, the song will receive a performance at the 2022 Oscars.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released some news about the awards. The soundtrack for Charm competes in the categories of Best Soundtrack and Best Original Song with From the Oruguitas. Despite We don´t talk about Bruno not having been submitted by Disney for the awards, the song will receive a performance due to the great performance it had, this being the first live performance of the track.

The names of some of the presenters have also been announced. The ones responsible for hosting the awards ceremony will be Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes. Other names will present some of the categories, including: Halle Bailey, Shawn Mendes, Lady Gaga, Lily James, John Travolta, Rami Malek, Lupita Nyon'o, Wesley Snipes, among others.

The ceremony will take place on March 27 at the Dolby Theatre, and will be broadcast on ABC. More details are expected to be released at that time.
