Oscar nominees are now Lord of Lady
All Oscar-nominated actors and actresses have received a goodie bag worth USD 140,000 this year. The nominees in the best director category also received a bag containing an expensive holiday, golden chocolates and a piece of land in Scotland.
Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Judi Dench and Steven Spielberg received the bags during the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday night. A total of 25 nominees received such a bag.
It contains special gifts every year, but the piece of land in Scotland sparked anger among the Scots even before the ceremony.
Any nominee can now call themselves lord, laird or lady of Glencoe: that is part of owning a piece of land in the area. Scots were furious about this: they believe that their land should not just be given away, but a petition did not help.

The package also includes a multi-day holiday in a castle in Scotland, a special skin care package based on salads, a few bottles of vodka and the option of having liposuction for $15,000.
In addition to the golden chocolates, there is also an olive oil with gold leaf and a whole load of multivitamins.
It is not known whether the actors, actresses and directors also accept the gifts. TMZ discovered that the package could put the stars
