Pabllo Vittar Celebrates Diversity at the Awards

MTV Miaw, an award ceremony that takes place annually on MTV, will be presented this year (2021) by Rafael Portugal and Pabllo Vittar. With several new categories, Pabllo celebrated the inclusion of diversity in many of them, such as “Pride of the Valley”, “Eu Shippo”, “Girl Boss”, and others.

During the press conference, held this past Tuesday (21), singer Pabllo and comedian Rafael talked a little about the award. When asked about the importance of the new “Pride of the Valley” category, Pabllo said that it is a great opportunity for LGBTQI+ artists and that, if she wins, she will dedicate the award to her community.

“I see this category (Pride of the Valley) as a great opportunity to give a voice to this community (LGBTQI+), my community, which is so beautiful. If I win, I will dedicate this award to my entire community.,” she said.

Full of diversity, the awards, in addition to being presented by a great drag queen artist, also has the “I ship” category, where the public votes for their favorite couple and, among the couples, are: Bianca Andrade (Boca Rosa) and Fred, Caíque Gama and Flávia Gabe, Lahn Lahn and Nanda Costa, Ludmilla and Brunna, Sasha and João Figueiredo, Vitória Strada and Marcella Rica, Zé Felipe and Virgínia.

Pabllo Vittar releases his album “Batidão Tropical” and video for the single “Triste com T”

Pabllo Vittar, in addition to presenting MTV Miaw, is also competing for 9 nominations at the awards and says that the award he would most like to win would be “album of the year”. “I've never won album of the year, it would be great if I did. I want to win them all! Let's go through this award ceremony, I want to take all the cats.”, said the singer amidst the jokes.

Pabllo competes for the Gato Rosa Trophy in the categories Album or of the Year (Batidão Tropical), Musical Artist, Clipão da P#rr@ (Modo Turbo), Coreô Envolvente (Bandida), Feat Nacional (a nomination for Modo Turbo, ft. Anitta and Luisa Sonza, and another for Bandida, ft. Pocah), Anthem of the Year (one nomination for Modo Turbo and another for Bandida) and Hitmaker Absurdo.
