Pankeeroy, one of Nigeria leading social media comedian, has expressed his own perspective in relation to the effect of entertainment industry in alleviating poverty in Nigeria.

Most especially, among the Nigeria youth who graduated from universities every year without hope of a job.

The comedian who graduated with a bachelor’s degree of computer scientist from redeemers college talked about his interest in Comedy despite being a computer scientist graduate.

However, speaking on the possibility of working in the latter in the future, Pankeeroy said he is not ready to leave comedy business soon.


Pankeeroy, in a chat with Legit.ng emphasizes that the show business (entertainment) serves as a saving grace for million of Nigerians to earn a living without resorting to crimes.


In his words, Pankeeroy says,


“I am a living example of the usefulness of show business. Since I graduated from the university in 2019, I did not have to go looking all over the places for a job that is non-existing. I have carved a niche for myself as a comedian on Instagram and YouTube and I have so far earned a decent living and achieved respectability in society.”

Few months, pankeeroy was arrested by on alleged cyber crime involvement by the EFCC but was however released few weeks ago.

The comedian speaking on his niche and gigs as a content creator on Instagram and YouTube said he has carved a niche for himself on the social spaces and has been earning a decent living through them.

Hence,he doesn’t intend quiting creating content on these social spaces anytime soon.


Pankeeroy who graduated from Redeemer’s University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, further stated that he is not quitting his comedy gig on Instagram anytime soon.

Speaking further, Pankeerboy says,


“Nothing gives me joy than the realisation that I am not wasting the talent God has given me…At the same time, I would not want my years in the university to be a waste. I daily put my computer scientist knowledge and skill to use, but someday, I hope to do something big in that direction, perhaps as an entrepreneur”
