Part 2 brings Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya on a mythical journey full of powers and conspiracies

The film starring Timothée Chalamet (“Call Me By Your Name”) and Zendaya (“Euphoria”) got a trailer in Portuguese released by Warner Bros. “Dune: Part 2” is scheduled to be released in cinemas on November 17th and in the science fiction plot, Timothée will return to play the Duke Paul Atreides which this time will have its mythical journey explored.

The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Frank Herbert and is directed by Dennis Villeneuve who also wrote the script in partnership with Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth.

While in the first “Dune” (2021) Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) had the difficult mission of managing the terrible desert planet Arrakis, which had a single source of the substance capable of prolonging human life, called “Melange” and also dealing with a strong betrayal, in the continuation of the story the Duke will have super powers that will help you lead the world to a better future.

According to the synopsis, the protagonist will join his love interest Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen to fight the conspirators who destroyed her family. Now that he is in control of the empire, he will have to face the choice between love and the fate of the universe, in addition to trying to avoid a bad future that only he is capable of predicting.

It is worth remembering that the first film grossed US$400 million at the box office and received 11 nominations for the 2022 Oscar, including the categories of “Best Adapted Screenplay” and “Best Film”.

The production also features big names in its cast such as Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission: Impossible – Reckoning – Part 1”), Austin Butler (“Elvis”), Josh Brolin (“Avengers: Endgame”), Florence Pugh (“Black Widow”), Christopher Walken (“Hairspray- In Search of Fame”), Dave Bautista (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Stephen McKinley Henderson (“A Limit Between Us”), Stellan Skarsgard (“Mamma Mia!”), Léa Seydoux (“Crimes of the Future”), Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men”) and Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years”).
