Pentagon now saw 400 UFOs – The U.S. Department of Defense is currently investigating four hundred cases involving a UFO. That stated two senior officials of the ministry Tuesday, during the first public hearing of the U.S. Congress on UFOs in more than fifty years.

The abbreviation UFO stands for unidentified flying object. The American security services nowadays speak of unidentified aerial phenomena, or an unknown phenomenon in the sky.

The Pentagon established a special team in 2020 for research into UFOs. A report released last June found that 144 reports of UFOs have been documented since 2004.

Tuesday’s hearing took place in response to that report. Meanwhile, the number of UFOs being investigated by the US has almost tripled.

According to Ronald Moultrie and Scott Bray, the two Pentagon officials who were heard by the committee, there is “in no case” convincing evidence that it is an alien spacecraft. It’s not ruled out, but “at the moment there’s no material that points to anything other than something earthy,” Bray said.

However, they acknowledged that many mysterious cases are still unsolved and may remain so forever. The special investigation team remains open to all possible explanations as long as a case is not resolved.

The officials reiterated the conclusion from last year’s report that even without extraterrestrial influence, UFOs can pose a threat to the skies and thus national security.

For example, unknown aircraft may endanger air traffic and there may be hostile spying equipment or advanced aircraft.
