Play the Game of Love in New Single

This Thursday (14) Anitta launched her musical partnership with rapper Saweetie. Mixing pop, rap and funk, the new international bet of the girl from Rio, 'Faking Love', brings verses from one of the biggest revelations in rap of recent times, Saweetie. The song, which is entirely in English, has a very catchy chorus.

The song is part of the album ''Girl From Rio'' and already has an official music video, which was released on Friday afternoon (15), on Anitta's YouTube channel. With many costume changes and very powerful, the video is already trending on the platform and has more than 700 thousand views in just 6 hours of release.

At the press conference to present the song, Anitta spoke about the partnership with Sweetie, who owns the hit ''Best Friend'' (Feat. Doja Cat). ''Dear Sweetie was the partnership that the song called for. I really admire the powerful and self-assured woman that she is… it was the perfect match. I'm so happy to be able to show everyone 'Faking Love''', said the carioca.

The singer's latest solo single was ''Girl From Rio'', the song that bears the name of her new album, in May. Despite this, the powerful singer has been quite busy in the last month. That's because she performed in the commercial for the 2021 VMA, which took place on September 12 in New York. She made history by being the first Brazilian to perform at the event.

Taking her originality and essence to the world, Anitta spoke in an interview with Billboard about the honor of transmitting Brazilian culture and funk in her songs. ''Just as reggaeton is for Latinos and hip-hop is for America, so is funk for Brazil. People in Brazil don't accept funk because sometimes Brazilians don't value what's theirs. They value foreign things too much and don't see the wonderful things we Brazilians have. I started my career with people asking me to take funk off the radio. At fancy parties, funk was forbidden. They only played international music. Now people are playing my songs'', said Anitta.
