The PlayStation consoles will receive three new game subscriptions in June: PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra and Premium. The subscriptions allow you to play online with other people. The Extra and Premium plans offer a rotating library of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games.
Sony reports Tuesday that it is combining its PlayStation Plus service with the PlayStation Now subscription. PlayStation Plus is required to play most online multiplayer games on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
The subscription also offers free games every month.
PlayStation Now allows subscribers to play older games. Sony says it will keep the PlayStation Plus name and that PlayStation Now will cease to exist in June. Bloomberg already wrote last year that PlayStation Now would be scrapped . Sony has now confirmed this itself.
Essential, the cheapest subscription, will cost 8.99 euros per month. You get two free games to play each month, discounts on games, and access to cloud storage.
Extra, the second subscription, costs 13.99 euros per month. With this subscription you get everything Essential offers and access to a library of over four hundred PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games.

The Premium subscription is the most comprehensive of the three and costs 16.99 per month. Premium subscribers get everything included with the Essential and Extra plans.
In addition, they can, among other things, stream three hundred PlayStation 3 games. In addition, subscribers can play games released for the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and the PSP handheld.
The Premium subscription also makes temporary demo versions of new games available, allowing players to see if a game meets their expectations.
