Post Malone and The Weeknd launch partnership

Union of giants! After launching a partnership with the EDM group Swedish House Mafia, Canadian Abel Tesfaye, The Weeknd released today (05) a musical collaboration with American Post Malone. “One Right Now” It is the first collaboration between the two artists and there are rumors that the track may be part of the tracklist of Post's 4th album.

The rapper's latest album, “Hollywood's Bleeding”, was released in 2019, the same year he was in Brazil for Lollapalooza. The work features hits such as “Circles” and “Goodbyes”. As for The Weeknd, “After Hours”, his latest album released, premiered in March 2020. The project features “Blinding Lights”, “In Your Eyes” and “Save Your Tears”. Although there are no confirmed release dates yet, both have new projects in the works, The Weeknd with “The Dawn”, who already has a world tour announced and Post, who has not yet revealed the name of his new album.

The single was confirmed by Dre London, Post's manager, who posted a preview of the song on his social media: “What I couldn't wait to tell the (world) this Friday,”“I'm excited for you to finally see what I'm talking about!! @postmalone & @theweeknd 'One Right Now'.”

The lyrics of the song tell about a frustrated love. A relationship that didn't work out. “You are a stain on my legacy. We can't be friends, we can't be family. You probably f***ed all my enemies. I can't let you be by my side. You belong to the world now, so leave me alone now. We are no longer in contact.”, says an excerpt from the song.

In about 24 hours since its release, the audio for “One Right Now” has accumulated more than 1.3 million views on YouTube and remains at #27 on the platform’s trending videos. The partnership’s video does not yet have a confirmed release date.
