Preta Gil begins therapeutic rehabilitation and talks about the new oncology treatment

Preta Gil appeared this Wednesday (27) in her stories, telling her followers that she has just started her physiotherapeutic rehabilitation. The singer finished her first cycle of chemotherapy last Tuesday (26) and will have to return to the hospital in 12 days to continue her three-month treatment.

New cancer treatment

Preta was hospitalized at Hospital Sírio-Libanês in São Paulo until this Tuesday (27) and will now begin a new phase towards her improvement. She said that in addition to physiotherapy, she will have to use sunscreen every day all over her body: “I can't sunbathe anymore”. To prevent sunlight from reaching her skin, she was asked to also wear a long-sleeved blouse.

Asked by a follower about the differences between the treatment completed last year and the one started now, she said that there are different medications. I had already used some of them, I am learning about others in this second treatment and some of the first ones will not be used this time. However, she confided that what excites her most is her emotional and physical state, which is much better than in 2023, therefore, she hopes to be able to go through all the cycles willingly without losing her appetite and maintaining her exercise routine.

The fight resumes

The singer discovered four new pockets of cancer in her body recently, during routine exams, and had to return to treatment: “My cancer came back, it came back in four different places. I have two lymph nodes; one that is in the peritoneum and I have a nodule, a lesion in the ureter”, she said, on her official Instagram account.

Roberto Gil's daughter is taking care of herself and took the opportunity to show this to the public. She appeared in another story and showed part of her physiotherapy session while guiding her followers: “cancer patients have to do physical exercise, they have to strengthen their muscles”. Preta has just finished the first treatment cycle of the six that need to be done.
