Preta Gil returns home after spending Easter in a hospital for exams

Preta Gil was discharged this Monday (10th) after spending Easter hospitalized in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, according to her adviser for tests related to the bowel cancer she has been facing. She used her social media to notify fans of her return home, “That!!! Long live my Orixás, my Santinhas, my Guardian Angel and all my protectors!!!”.

As soon as Preta shared on twitter that she was discharged from the hospital and returned home, several haters appeared, who are people who spread hate on the internet, criticizing the fact that she had mentioned God, orixás, saints and angels in the publication, for the simple fact her being from Umbanda and Candomblé, which can configure religious intolerance.

After arriving home, Preta shared in her Stories on Instagram the welcome treat she received from her family and friends when she got home from the hospital.

The singer was away from her social networks due to the treatment and on Thursday (6) she used her Instagram to justify her absence from them. According to her, the treatment has been very difficult and the chemotherapy has been very heavy, and that this demands greater care with herself, needing protection. And she added by saying “I’ll be back here soon. I wanted to thank you for your concern and for all your prayers. Love you”.

Since she was diagnosed with bowel cancer, the singer has been sharing a part of her routine in the process of fighting the disease on her social networks. She is in the fifth cycle of chemotherapy and usually makes alerts about exams and health care.

At the time of the discovery, she stated that, due to having had an early diagnosis, she had a clearer chance of being successful in treating the disease. Bowel cancer is one of the most diagnosed in the world and in Brazil it is the second that most affects women.
