Prince Charles denies questioning Harry and Meghan's son's skin color

Prince Charles' spokesperson came forward on Monday (29) to deny a statement made in a book, where the heir to the British royal throne would have questioned the skin tone of Harry's son with Meghan Markle. In the book “Brothers And Wives: Inside The Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan” the future king of England, would have asked what the color of the child's skin was.

“This is fiction and not worth commenting on,” the Prince's spokesman told reporters in Barbados. Charles is in Barbados for the celebration marking the island's major change from a republic to a republic with its own space and domain, moving away from the British royal family. According to the Page Six, The book recounts excerpts from an alleged conversation between Charles and his wife, Camilla.

On the day of Harry and Meghan's engagement, in the morning, Charles reportedly said to Camilla: “I wonder what the children will be like?” A little surprised by her husband's question, the woman reportedly replied: “Well, absolutely beautiful, I'm sure.”after that the conversation did not continue. Meghan has already been on some TV shows and made revelations and concerns about her son. The book, which is due to be released this Tuesday (30), does not directly accuse Charles of being the family member who has been causing Meghan discomfort. She only said that the concern of her son being different makes her aware of what they might do against the newest member of the family. Her statement was made on the Oprah Winfrey show in March of this year.

Meghan Markle is the product of an interracial couple, where her mother is black and her father is white. The actress claims that this made her very tense, as Archie, her son, was denied the title of prince by the royal family, who were concerned about the boy's skin color. Harry's wife also claimed that she was mistreated by her husband's family since the beginning of their relationship and that her family's impediment made them go their own way, away from the United Kingdom.
