On what appears to be a celebration in the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomes a second child after the birth of Archie, the first born of the royal couple.
The news was disclosed by Prince Harry through an official statement. This was released by the secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The child was delivered in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, California on the 4th of June this year.
The child was named “Lilibeg Diana”, a name given in remembrance and honor of the Duke of Duchess’ late mother, Princess of Wales that was killed in an accident in 1997.
Diana joins Harry and Meghan Markle’s firstborn son Archie, who is two years old.
The statement released by the press secretary reads thus:
“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet.”
The released statement further revealed that her middle name, Diana, is given in honor of Prince Harry’s late mother, The Princess of Wales, who was killed in a car accident.
It was however reported that Prince Harry is living off the inheritance left for him by the Princess of Wales, Diana.
This seems to give more clarification as it was previously revealed in an interview with Ophrah that they, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, were cut off from the financial support, including the security details they were previously entitled to by the British Royal.
This was immediately after they declared their intentions to step back from the official duties as members of the British royal family.
“I wouldn’t have gotten through without that.” Prince Harry disclosed.
In respect of the aforementioned, the Prince, Harry disclosed that he only has what his mum left him. According to the reports, Princess Diana, his mum, left him a $10 million worth inheritance.
