Priscilla Alcantara will make her first appearance at Rock in Rio

Singer Priscilla Alcantara began her music career in 2008 and in these 14 years she has released five gospel albums or, as she likes to call them, ''Christian Pop''. However, for much of her career, Priscilla has been attacked by churchgoers, most often for not following dress codes. The singer herself says that she has been breaking the taboos that these people carry.

After her first pop album titled ''Have you learned to love?''Priscilla signed a contract with Globo and debuted on the show The Masked Singer as a contestant, dressed as a unicorn, and was the big winner of the first season of the show. But the success was so great that the former presenter of Bom Dia & Companhia, a program on SBT, won a spot behind the scenes in the second season of the show, interviewing other participants.

In 2022, Alcantara released her second pop album and with it came more achievements. Priscilla hosted a season of the TVZ program on the Multishow channel, where she had the opportunity to sing with artists such as Di Ferrero and Lexa. The singer was also confirmed for one of the biggest music events in the world, Rock in Rio, and will perform on the Supernova stage on September 10th. The stage brings up-and-coming artists in the pop market, some of which include the band Jovem Dionísio, Teto, Pose do Rodo and Lil Whind.

In an interview, after the news of changing musical genre, Priscilla already talked about her dream of participating in big festivals and stated that she suffered attacks from believers. ''They didn't like seeing me in the audience at Lollapalooza. If you (Christians) find it strange to see me at Lollapalooza, imagine when I sing at Lollapalooza, because that will happen one day''the singer responded to the criticism she received.

Even with the changes, the presenter states that her nature and personality will not change, that the “magic” of writing and releasing songs is that they make sense to someone the singer has never met in her life.
