PSV starts with restored Götze to crucial top match,
Mario Götze starts in the starting line-up at PSV for the crucial top match with Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. The German playmaker has been declared fit in time after he was missing against Willem II last week.
Feyenoord will play with the same basic players who helped the club to the final of the Conference League on Thursday in Marseille.
Feyenoord line-up
- Marciano; Geertruida, Trauner, Senesi, Malacia; Aursnes, Til, Kökçü; Nelson, Dessers, Sinisterra.
Line-up PSV
- Mvogo; Mauro Júnior, Teze, Gutiérrez, Max; Sangaré, Götze, Veerman; Doan, Zahavi, Gakpo.
The 29-year-old Götze missed the game against Willem II (4-2 win) because he was struggling with a flu. Meanwhile, the midfielder, who is good for four goals and four assists in the Eredivisie this season, has been declared fully fit for the game in De Kuip.
At PSV, captain André Ramalho is missing from the match selection. The defender is still suffering from an ankle injury that also bothered him last Sunday in the home game against Willem II. Noni Madueke is back from a muscle injury, but starts on the bench. Ritsu Doan is preferred as a right winger.
PSV must get a good result in De Kuip on Sunday to stay in the race for the national title. Leader Ajax played earlier in the day with a 2-2 draw at AZ, so that the Eindhoven team reduces the deficit to two points with a victory.
There are still two matches to play in the Eredivisie after Sunday.
