PSY releases preview of the 9th album of his career

PSY is ready for his first comeback after 5 years without releasing a new album. Considered one of the most successful singers in South Korea, he is releasing previews of his songs to heat up the engines. His most recent release was for the song 'Celeb'.

The 9th album of his career will come with 12 tracks, and it appears that it will also be a visual album, as several tracks are receiving previews of their music videos. Suzy, idol from the group Miss A, appears in the 'Celeb' video. Furthermore, 'Happier' also features a partnership with Crush.

New job

After a five-year break, PSY made an official announcement on their networks to inform their next album, which will be released on April 29th. The artist also shared a video from his 2013 concert, when he predicted he could release a big hit in 2022. “To be honest, I produced 'Champion' in 2002, and it took me exactly ten years to produce a song that is more sensational. 'Gangnam Style' was released in 2012. I guess what I'm trying to say is that maybe the next time you hear a song like 'Gangnam Style' will be in 2022.” Said PSY through a video published on his Instagram.

PSY became known in 2012 with the hit 'Gangnam Style', reaching first place in the monthly analysis of most watched videos on YouTube, also topping the ITunes music video list and winning the 'Best Video' award at the MTV Europe Music Awards , making him the second Korean artist to be invited to attend the awards ceremony. In 2013 he won the 'Korea Image Stepping Stone' award at the Korea Image Awards. Investing in his career as a producer since 2019, PSY opened the record label P Nation representing several artists since then.
