Rapper Fetty Wap released on bail

The American rapper Fetty Wap has been allowed to leave prison after more than a week. According to Page Six, the artist, who is suspected of involvement in a drug gang, was released on Friday after a deposit of 500,000 dollars (more than 430,000 euros) was paid.

Thirty-year-old Fetty Wap was arrested in New York on October 28 just before his concert. The Trap Queenrapper is suspected of being part of a drug gang that has trafficked for at least 100 kilos of drugs.

Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, was ordered by the judge to hand in his passport upon his release and is not allowed to leave New York. He will also be regularly tested for drug use.

The next hearing in the case is on November 24.
