RBD announces that it intends to return to the stage

After 15 years since their last performance, the members of RBD in 2023 began their reunion tour entitled “Soy Rebelde Tour”, which took place in South America and North America; now the members are talking about a possible return to the stage with new projects .

New projects

According to member Christopher Uckermann in an interview with Vogue México magazine, the Mexican member of the Latin pop group RBD, informed in the interview that he and the other members are talking about possible projects, and that they do not rule out the possibility of returning to the stage.

The last show of the Soy Rebelde Tour” took place on December 21, 2023 at the Azteca stadium in Mexico City, initially it would be the Latin band’s last show; but now after Christopher's interview, it is possible that they will return very soon with new projects.

Actor and singer Christopher said that the last show of the tour, for him, was not considered RBD's last show “There are still many countries we haven't been to. We are talking about future projects like a documentary, shows and everything we can do. A second phase of the tour, I believe that, if everything settles down, it is quite possible that it will happen”, said Christopher in an interview with Vogue Mexico.

Fans, in addition to waiting for a new RBD tour, are also waiting for a documentary and audiovisual recording of the show recorded in São Paulo, Brazil, which took place in November 2023.

Origin of RBD

RBD emerged through the Mexican soap opera “Rebelde” shown on Canal de Las Estrellas, which was shown in three seasons that began on October 4, 2004 and ended on June 2, 2006: Rebelde was starred by Anahí, Alfonso Herrera, Dulce Maria, Christopher Uckermann, Maite Perroni and Christian Chávez.

The soap opera, whose main audience was young people, narrated the lives of the six young protagonists Roberta (Dulce Maria), Diego (Christopher Uckermann), Mia (Anahí), Miguel (Alfonso Herrera), Lupita (Maite Perroni) and Giovanni (Christian Chávez ), who lived in a semi-boarding school and had to deal with the dramas of their youth, becoming a success in Mexico, Rebelde soon exploded in several countries.

At the same time that the actors dedicated themselves to acting, they also sang the songs that were the themes of the soap opera, where in the plot of “Rebelde” the six members gave life to their characters who formed a band, and this band became ” RBD”, what was just fiction became reality and brought each of the members a successful career as actors and also as singers and songwriters.

Even after the end of the soap opera, the Latin pop group recorded the series “RBD: La Familia” which shows the fictional life of the band RBD in just 13 episodes; In total, RBD has six studio albums “Rebelde (2004), Nuestro Amor (2005), Celestial (2006), Rebels (2006), Empezar Desde Cero (2007), Para Olvidarte de Mí (2009)”, in addition to having compilation and live albums.

However, on the reunion tour held in 2023, only five members participated, the only member not to participate was Alfonso Herrera, Miguel's performer in “Rebelde”. Even after years, RBD is considered one of the best Latin pop groups, which has won fans all over the world, especially Brazilian fans.
