registration for the Amsterdam Marathon is almost sold out

The Amsterdam Marathon has taken over the post of the biggest marathon in the Netherlands, a position that once belonged to Rotterdam.

There are several reasons to visit the city of Amsterdam, such as its canals, museums, parks, coffee shops, the red district and cycling in a city where the bicycle is the highest priority vehicle in traffic. But one of the best ways to experience Amsterdam is by running the city marathon. I went there last year and loved it.

There are very few races in the world where you start and finish in an Olympic stadium. In Amsterdam, the start and finish are inside the stadium that hosted the 1928 Games.

There is also a stretch that many people complain about, which runs alongside the Amstel River. I loved it and thought it was beautiful. There are a lot of people on the streets encouraging runners and hydration is adequate, apart from the expo, which despite being medium in size, has many offers and you can leave a little money there. I recommend.

If you still have plans to run the 42 km or even the 21 km of the Dutch race, which take place on October 15th, I recommend you hurry up because their Instagram announced that there are only a few spots left. The marathon already has 70% of the vacancies filled and the Half, 75%.
