Rihanna says she tried to hide her pregnancy from friends, but strange cravings gave her away

Singer Rihanna revealed on January 31 that she is pregnant with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky. She recently gave an interview to E! News and said that she tried to hide the pregnancy from her friends in the first few months, but that this was not possible for long.

“It was hard to hide it from my friends, because they are always around me, they know my habits.”, said the artist. “They would ask me, 'Don't you want something to drink?' and 'Aren't you smoking?'”.

She pointed out that what really gave away the pregnancy was her cravings for sweets, as the singer doesn't usually eat a lot of sugar.I started eating all these things that I'm not used to. They all know that I hate sweets and suddenly I start asking for cookies and donuts. Then, finally, I told them and they were all shocked, of course, and so was the world.”, he reported.

Rihanna also commented on the advantages of being pregnant and how happy she is to show off her baby bump to everyone. “Usually, when I'm on a red carpet, and my belly is a little bigger, it's a problem. [Mas agora] It's belly-baring season, everything will be on show!”, joked the new mom.

In a conversation at the event for her brands, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, she explained how she felt when she found out she was pregnant: “When I found out, it didn't seem real, you know? I was like, 'This isn't real, right?' It's almost like you don't want to get too excited, because it's great news, but you want to see if it's going to go your way. And I'm so glad that we're so far along and now I can celebrate with everyone!”.

Rihanna has been increasingly dedicated to her career as a businesswoman and entrepreneur, with her latest album, ANTI, being released in 2016. However, she explains that she is always working on new music.Just because I haven't released an album in a few years doesn't mean I'm not working on it. I'm not just going to release music because people want it. I'm going to make it worth the wait – and it will be worth the wait.”, she assured. She also stated that it is about achieving excellence: “That's why I would never release an album just because of it, or make a movie because of it, or a fashion collaboration because of it. I have to believe in it..”
