Rihanna stars in Dior's new J'Adore campaign

Since June of this year, Rihanna has been announced as the new face of Dior's J'Adore perfume. The singer and businesswoman replaces actress Charlize Theron, who for 20 years was the face of Dior's iconic perfume campaigns. Yesterday (01), Dior finally revealed the video for the perfume's new campaign, with photography by Steven Klein, a renowned photographer and filmmaker of fashion campaigns.

Rihanna is the new face of J'Adore perfume

The singer and businesswoman is back at Dior, almost 10 years after starring in one of the videos for “Secret Garden”, also directed by Steven Klein. Rihanna was the first black woman to be the face of a Dior campaign: “Being the new face of J’adore is both an honor and a mission. This perfume, which I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women. I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.”said the singer and businesswoman in a statement sent to the press in June of this year, when she was announced as the new face of the perfume.

Yesterday (01), Dior finally revealed the J'Adore campaign, starring Rihanna. In the new film, the singer and businesswoman appears in the also iconic ballroom of the Palace of Versailles, wearing a golden dress embroidered with crystals, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri. The soundtrack could be none other than “Love on the Brain”, by Rihanna herself.

J'Adore is one of the most iconic perfumes

The perfume was first launched in 1999 and has floral, woody and fruity notes. The campaign with Rihanna features the J'Adore L'Or version, launched last year. This version has notes of jasmine, sambac and ylang-ylang, signed by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. In addition to the essence, the perfume bottle, like its other versions, has a unique design, symbolizing feminine elegance.
