Russel Crowe in Thor: Love and Thunder Confirmed!

The winner of the Oscar Russell Crowe (Gladiator; Los Angeles Confidential) was confirmed in the cast of Thor: Love and Thunderfourth sequel to the franchise about the Avenger and Norse god Thor.

The role of Crowe has not yet been specified, and although the film has brought together a large number of high-ranking actors from Hollywood to play actors Asgardians recounting the events of Thor: Ragnaroksuch as, for example, Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaid Mission; The Spy Who Knew Too Little) in the role of the goddess of death and firstborn of Odin which, in turn, is interpreted by Sam Neill (The Enigma of the Horizon; Jurassic Park: The Dinosaur Park), while Thor and Lokiare interpreted by Luke Hemsworth (Westworld; Kill Me One More Time) and Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting; The Martian), it is not yet known whether this will be the fate of Crowe.

Other actors joining the cast are Chris Hemsworth (Snow White and the Huntsman; The Cabin in the Woods), Natalie Portman (Black Swan; Closer: Too Close), Tessa Thompson (Creed: Born to Fight; MIB: Men in Black – International), Christian Bale (The Winner; Batman: The Dark Knight), Jaimie Alexander (The Last Challenge; Blind Spot), Chris Pratt (Jurassic World; Parks and Recreation: Confessions of Leslie), Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy; No Longer a Happy Ending), Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls: Like Mother, Like Daughter; Guardians of the Galaxy) and Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows; Jojo Rabbit). Waititi He is also the director of the film and wrote the script together with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Someone Special; Sweet/Vicious).

The plot of the project has not yet been revealed, but the film will show Jane Fostercharacter played by Portmangaining the powers of the god of thunder and becoming Mighty Thor (Mighty Thor, in free translation), as happens in the comic book. The film marks the return of Portman for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and also consecrates Thor as the first hero of UCM to get a fourth film.

Thor: Love and Thunder is being filmed in Australia and is due for release on May 6, 2022.
