Sanctioned companies in the EU
Companies in the European Union (EU) that are affected by the sanctions imposed against Russia can receive up to 400,000 euros in state aid.
This is reported by Reuters on the basis of a document seen by the European Commission (EC).
In the light of the corona crisis, Europe also loosened the reins for allowing state aid because companies missed out on income through no fault of their own.
So now something similar is being done with the war in Ukraine.
Sanctioned companies in the EU could receive tons of support
For companies active in agriculture and fisheries, this involves amounts of up to 35,000 euros in direct aid, tax benefits and guarantees.
Companies that suffer from the higher prices for gas and electricity as a result of the war can also receive a contribution to the costs.
