Santos has a 98.93% chance of returning to Series A of the Brazilian Championship

After conversations on Vila Belmiro naming rightsSantos is very close to completing its return to Série A of the Brazilian Championship in 2025, and this probability increased even more last Monday (28), after Peixe beat Ituano 2-0 away from home for the 34th round of the second national division. Fábio Carille's team is in the isolated lead of the tournament, with 62 points, having 18 wins, eight draws and eight defeats in 34 games played, followed by Novorizontino, with 60, while Sport and Mirassol close the G-4, both with 59 in third and fourth respectively (Sport is ahead due to goal difference).

Novorizontino – Access: 90.25% / Title: 14.66%.

Sport – Access: 88.65% / Title: 12.98%.

Mirassol – Access: 86.79% / Title: 9.50%.

Ceará – Access: 26.68% / Title: 0.39%.

Other teams still fighting for a place in the first division are Goiás, América-MG, Vila Nova, Coritiba and Operário, but the chances of these clubs are remote, below 3%, especially for Coxa and Fantasma, who have 0 .56% and 0.41% chances in next year's elite.

Chances of access to the next round

Santos can now complete its return to Série A this weekend for the 35th round, to do so, it will only be necessary to beat Vila Nova on Saturday and hope that Ceará does not achieve a victory against Avaí on Sunday. In the first round, Peixe drew with the team from Goiânia by the score of 1 to 1.
