Sao Paulo and Nacional play today for the Libertadores

Today, São Paulo and Nacional-URU will play the second leg of the round of 16 of the Libertadores and see who advances to the next stage. Neither team has an advantage on aggregate, so a draw is not good enough for either team, which could result in a very dynamic game with both teams creating chances.

How the two teams arrive

In the first leg, in Uruguay, the teams drew 0-0. Today, in the return leg, neither São Paulo nor Nacional will have an advantage on the scoreboard, but it can be said that the Brazilian team has a slight advantage by playing at home in front of its fans.

Nacional's team arrives at today's match exhausted. Last weekend, the team ended up drawing 3-3 against Uruguay's River Plate, in the national championship. São Paulo, in turn, is coming off a 2-1 defeat against Palmeiras, in the Brazilian championship.

Probable lineups

For tonight's game, São Paulo, coached by Luis Zubeldía, will probably play with the same team as in the first leg, but without Ferreirinha, who was injured against Palmeiras and will be out of action for 2 months. Either Nestor or Wellington Rato should play in his place.

Goalkeeper: Rafael;

Defense: Rafinha, Arboleda, Alan Franco and Welington;

Midfield: Luiz Gustavo, Bobadilla and Lucas;

Attack: Luciano, Calleri and Rodrigo Nestor (or Wellington Rato).

Nacional, led by Martín Lasarte, will not have Gonzalo Carneiro at their disposal, as the player suffered a serious injury to his right knee. Nico López, recently signed, is expected to take the starting spot.

Probable lineup:

Goalkeeper: Luis Meljia;

Defense: Leandro Lozano, Sebastían Coates, Diego Polenta and Gabriel Báez;

Midfield: Lucas Sanabria, Christian Oliva and Alexis Castro;

Attack: Nico López, Ruben Bentancourt and Diego Zabala.

São Paulo and Nacional-URU play today at 7pm, Brasília time. The game will be at Morumbis and is valid for the round of 16 of the Libertadores. Whoever wins will face Botafogo in the quarterfinals.
