SBT Celebrates 60 Years of the Silvio Santos Program!

“Now is the time for joy, let’s smile and sing! You can’t take anything from the world, let’s smile and sing!”; Who doesn't know this classic opening theme that has brightened Brazilian television's Sundays for six decades?! This Sunday (04), the creature revered its creator. That is, SBT paid homage to Silvio Santos during the 60th anniversary of his eponymous program shown on Sunday nights.

Commanded by Patrícia Abravanel, the special Silvio Santos Program recalled the presenter's trajectory since the program's debut in 1963, when it was still shown on the now defunct TV Paulista. A ratings success since its inception, since then, the Sunday show has been broadcast on TV Globo, TV Tupi, Record TV, TVS and from 1981 onwards it has been broadcast on SBT.

In addition to Silvio Santos Programother programs presented by the communicator were also celebrated. Like for example: Domingo No Parque, In the Name of Love, Wedding on TV, Take Everything for Money, Milhão Show, Roda a Roda, Let's Play Hangman, What's the Song?, Door of Hope and Freshman Show.

Domingo No Parque, What's the Music?, Door of Hope, Wedding on TV and Freshman Show were recreated on the Sunday stage. Valdir and Cleide, the first couple formed on a Brazilian television relationship program, were also present on the attraction's stage during the recreation of the Wedding on TV. Valdir and Cleide got married in 1967 and had Silvio Santos as best man at the wedding.

During the “remember” of What's the Music?figures stamped in the history of Silvio Santos Program were present. They were: Sarajane, Ronnie Von, Lady Zu, Ovelha, Marquinhos Moura, Jane (from the duo with Herondy), Sylvinho Blau Blau, Nahim, Silvio Brito and others. Felipeh Campos and Patrícia Salvador were the attraction's voice actors, just like in the 90s.

Then it was time for the classic Freshman Showwhich in addition to bringing together part of the cast of judges in the attraction (Mara Maravilha, Sérgio Mallandro, Sônia Lima, Leão Lobo, Décio Piccinini, Flor Fernandez, Luís Ricardo, Nelson Rubens and Ary Toledo), moved the artists present and the audience of home. Presenters Eliana and Adriane Galisteu participated in the “Jogo Das Três Pistas” section.

The special featured numerous special guests, including in its auditorium. Broadcast between 19:15h and 00:30h, Patrícia told the history of the program from decade to decade, until reaching the present day. During the display of Silvio Santos ProgramSBT and TV Globo fluctuated between second place and leadership. On the web, the attraction was among the most talked about topics.

On Twitter, the hashtag “#PSS60Years” It ranked first in the social network's trending topics, with approximately 30 thousand mentions. Already hashtagged “Silvio Santos”was present in sixth place with around 12 thousand tweets.
