Scary! Julio Rocha witnesses gigantic fire in São Paulo: “Apocalypse”

The interior of the state of São Paulo faces an environmental crisis due to the fires that are ravaging the region. On the road, on his way to a recording, actor Julio Rocha witnessed a fire in the vegetation and was scared by what was happening in much of Brazil.

“Scenes that we usually see in disaster films or about the apocalypse are now happening in our daily lives and are part of a sad everyday life. I was on my way to a recording when I came across this fire here in Indaiatuba, where I live, in the state of São Paulo. It's a scary scene”he begins in the caption of a video on Instagram.

“There's no way around it, nature is taking its toll on the actions of human beings and, if we don't set the agenda for ecologically responsible development, we'll be in big trouble. And before there was that selfish talk that this would happen in the very distant future, that no one else would be here. But now the future is closer than ever. We're feeling the effect of all of this in this crazy climate where, one moment, you're dying from the heat, and in a little while, you're calm in your swim trunks, at home. temperature drops and you get a shock thermal”continues.

The actor said that his son, Eduardo, aged 4, spent the trip crying because of the animals that lost their lives in the forests.

“Now it is no longer about the future of I don't know how many generations ahead that is at risk, but rather the future of our children and grandchildren. My son himself spent the trip shocked and crying because of the loss of the lives of animal species in the forest How can we explain that this is all the fault of our own irresponsibility?”

Julio says that there is a need for urgency in the search for solutions to environmental issues. “The solution is very complex and, logically, I would not intend to solve it here. I think the beginning of everything is to give the relevance and seriousness that the matter deserves. We have to demand from the authorities that this problem is not procrastinated and we mobilize so that anti-ecological practices are suppressed and punished exemplarily, even for our survival as a species”.
