Scream 5 gets surprising rating

11 years after the last film in the franchise, “Panic” is being applauded by specialist critics, who say that the film is “Brutal, ingenious and the best since the original“. “Scream 5“is almost certain to debut with a very red tomato on Rotten Tomatoes, a website that aggregates film and television reviews.

The new production of the film did not have its original director, Wes Craven, who passed away in 2015. The most recent film is directed by Americans Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who, according to critics, managed to print their own identity with balance, rescuing the terror that was provided in the first film, in 1996. After a lukewarm release in 2011, when “Scream 4” hit theaters, critics rekindled the flame for the new film.

Rotten Tomatoes critic Erik Daves commented on “Scream 5“like a movie”fun without exaggerating, with an addition of well-constructed scares and modern horror, without losing the bloody characteristics“. Joel Meares, also a critic, wrote a lively review of the film, saying that “I finally saw Scream 5 and it delivers (everything) and then some. If this franchise means anything to you (and it means a lot to me), you'll leave satisfied, thrilled, and wanting more. Yes, it's scary (and funny) as hell.“, he concluded on his Twitter.

According to the film's synopsis, it's been 25 years since a series of shocking murders hit the town of Woodsboro. Apparently, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask to stalk a group of young people. Given this, panic may have truly returned. “Scream 5” can be seen by the public starting next Thursday, January 13th and stars Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Courtney Cox, Jack Quaid, Neve Campbell, Marley Shelton and David Arquette.
