See the celebrity looks at the 2024 Paris Olympics

The 2024 Paris Olympics are off to a flying start. Just days later, a thrilling Opening Ceremony featuring Lady Gaga and Celine Dion was witnessed. The two-week event not only attracts elite athletes from all corners of the world to the French capital, but also celebrities in abundance.

This year’s edition is expected to be packed with A-list actors, musicians and other names, largely due to the Games’ partnership with French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH. In July 2023, the group, led by its billionaire CEO Bernard Arnault, was announced as the premium partner of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Influence of the Olympic Games on haute couture

Brands including Dior and Thom Browne have drawn inspiration from the Olympics for their collections this year. Dior also created the six-meter dress for Axelle Saint-Cirel to sing the French national anthem at the opening ceremony.

Meanwhile, Louis Vuitton and Martine Rose have highlighted sportswear as a trend for 2024. One possible influence will be the clothing worn by the delegations during the opening ceremony. Louis Vuitton designed the Olympic torch and the trunks that carried the medals.

In addition, designers and luxury brands were called upon to design the athletes' official costumes. Ralph Lauren designed the US costumes, Stella Jean and Philippe Dodard designed the Haitian costumes. LVMH organized the games and Chaumet made the Olympic medals.
