See Unseen Scenes in the New Trailer

Last Monday (8) the Universal Pictures released the new trailer for “Oppenheimer”film that has Cillian Murphy (“Peaky blinders“) as the protagonist and tells the story of the creation of the world's first atomic bomb. The film is directed and written by the multi-award winning director Christopher Nolanwho also directed works such as “The Origin” and “Interstellar”.

Cillian Murphy is at the peak of his career and was chosen to play the physical Julius Robert Oppenheimerone of the main responsible for the development of Manhattan projectwhich aimed to create the first atomic bomb in history, amid Second World War.

Oppenheimer led the laboratory of Los Alamosin New Mexico, the location chosen to host the project, and lives between the responsibility of delivering such a destructive weapon to the world and testing the capacity of his invention.

The new trailer shows never-before-seen scenes from the film, such as images of the city built to house the laboratory, as well as showing the public parts of the making of the first atomic bomb. The trailer also features the meeting between Oppenheimer and the scientist Albert Einsteinplayed by Tom Conti (“Batman – The Dark Knight Rises“). This is the sixth Christopher Nolan film in which Cillian Murphy is cast.

The film is based on Oppenheimer's biography, written by Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin and published in 2005: “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer”. The work received the award for Pulitzer 2006 in the biography or autobiography category.

Considered one of the most anticipated films of 2023, “Oppenheimer” also has a strong cast alongside Cillian Murphy: Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Emily Blunt, Josh Hartnett, Kenneth Branagh, Gary Oldman, Rami Malek, Gustaf Skarsgard, Dane DeHaan, Jason Clarke and Casey Affleck, and others.

The release date is scheduled for July 20th in cinemas in Brazil.
