Selena Gomez talks about romance with Benny Blanco: “a feeling of security”

The Only Murders in the Building actress revealed how safe and supported she feels alongside the 35-year-old music producer.

Selena Gomez can't hide her excitement when discussing her latest single, “Love On,” and her growing relationship with music producer Benny Blanco. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe, Gomez expressed her gratitude for Blanco, describing their relationship as “lovely” and highlighting the sense of security he brings to her life.

“Without going into too much detail, I think it's very important to meet someone who respects you”Gomez said about how Blanco stands out compared to some of her past relationships. “And I think it's also really good to lean on someone who understands the world I live in.” She added: “But I would have to say, overall, it's the safest I feel and it's been really lovely. I've just grown up with it, so it's amazing.”

Bond that strengthens and the professional journey

The romance between Selena and the music producer became official in December 2023, despite their long-standing friendship. In 2019, they collaborated on the song “I Can't Get Enough”, featuring Tainy and J Balvin.

Speaking about her approach to working with collaborators, Gomez shared that she doesn't always feel comfortable in new environments. “But I think when I work with new people, it's fun to connect with what they're going through in life.”he explained. She also emphasized the importance of her core team, who have a deep understanding of her artistic vision.

Selena also released a snippet of her new music video for 'Love On' on social media, along with behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot. Furthermore, the couple shared romantic moments during Valentine's Day, publicly showing their affection.

A source close to the couple revealed to People in January that Gomez has been extremely happy since the beginning of her relationship with Blanco, feeling fully present in both her personal and professional life.
