Shakira announces first dates of her new world tour

Shakira announced on her Instagram, this Tuesday, the 16th, the dates of her new tour “Las mujeres ya no loran”. On the 12th, the singer had already announced that she would go on tour. After participating in DJ Bizarrap's show at Coachellain California (USA), Shakira stated: “Finally, we're going on tour. Starting here, in November, in this city. I can't wait“. The participation was a surprise and Shakira stayed on stage for about half an hour.

Women no longer cry

In the caption of the post with the tour dates, Shakira wrote excitedly: “I am very happy to announce the first dates of my LAS MUJERES YA NO LLORAN WORLD TOUR (“Women don't cry anymore”, in Portuguese), a celebration for my pack! The first leg of the tour will be in North America, the only chance to experience the show in a more intimate way!”. The singer wrote in English and Spanish, but Shakira also speaks Portuguese. At the beginning of her career, Shakira made a point of learning the language when she came to Brazil to promote her first album, “Barefoot Pies”.

Resilience

The tour “Las mujeres ya no loran” will start in North America. The eponymous album was released last March, and is the singer's first after a seven-year break. At the launch, Shakira spoke about her creative process: “As I wrote each song, I rebuilt myself. As I sang them, my tears turned into diamonds and my vulnerability into resilience.”

Brazil is a promise

Still in the post, the singer promised that the tour will visit other countries: “International dates will be announced soon, stay tuned!”. Therefore, Brazilian fans are already looking forward to the Colombian's possible return to Brazil. Shakira's last visit to the country took place in 2018, when she was in Porto Alegre and São Paulo. Journalist José Norberto Flesch, famous for publicizing international shows firsthand, even stated on his social networks that, in fact, Shakira will come to Brazil later this year.
