Shawn Mendes announces fifth album

American singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes has announced the release of his fifth album titled “Shawn”, who will take place next spring in Brazil and will have 12 tracks, two of which will be released on August 8th, the day the singer celebrates another year of life. The tracks that will be released on the muse's birthday are “Why Why Why” and “Not That Enough”. On his official profile, this Wednesday afternoon (31), he published an excerpt from the song “ins't that enough” thanking God, his friends and his family. “Life can be brutal, but having a small group of people you deeply trust to guide you makes it so much better.”declared the singer.

On his Instagram account, the singer announced the names of the 12 tracks that will make up the album “Shawn” and their duration times; follow the titles below:

Shawn Mendes Rock In Rio 2024

In March 2024, singer Shawn was announced as an attraction for the Rock In Rio festival. His performance will take place on September 22, the last day of the festival, and the line-up will also feature NE-YO, who will return to the country after an acclaimed show at The Town last year.

At the time he was announced as the festival's headliner, the singer said: “It's been a long time since I last played live and I'm so happy to share that I'll be headlining Rock in Rio on September 22nd”. In the caption of the post he said he was working on a new album: “I've really missed being on stage and seeing you guys in person. I'm also working on a new album and can't wait to play these songs live for you. See you there!” The singer has several other hits such as “There's Nothing Holding Me Back”, “Señorita” and “Stitches”.
