The President of the United States, Joe Biden, was not indifferent to what happened and used his voice to call for concrete measures against armed violence in the country. In a statement, Biden expressed his dismay at the shooting during the event that was supposed to be one of celebration and unity. He urged Congress to act urgently, calling for a ban on assault weapons, limiting high-capacity magazines and strengthening criminal background checks.

“The Super Bowl is the most unifying event in America. Nothing unites us anymore. That this joy turned to tragedy in Kansas City cuts deep into the American soul. Today's events should move us, shock us, shame us and compel us to act. What are we waiting for?â€asked Biden.

Ongoing investigations

Meanwhile, local authorities are investigating the incident, with three people already in custody and under investigation in relation to the shooting. The motive behind the attack is still unclear. Furthermore, in a post on social media, Patrick Mahomes, the team's star star, expressed his solidarity and said he was sending his prayers to Kansas City.
