Simony applauds the presentation of the musical The Lion King
Simony was one of the celebrities to appear at the guest premiere of the musical “O Rei Leão”, at Teatro Renault, in São Paulo, on the night of this Wednesday, July 19th. The singer, who recently celebrated her victory against bowel cancer, was accompanied by her partner, Felipe, and their youngest son, Anthony.
The Broadway musical “The Lion King” is back in Brazil bringing a show full of charm to the public. The audience dives into the story of Simba, the adorable little lion who embarks on a journey of self-discovery and overcoming, accompanied by charismatic characters such as the wise Rafiki, the hilarious Timon and the loyal Pumbaa. Inspired by the acclaimed Disney film released in 1994, the show opens to the public at Teatro Renault from the 20th of July.

POLEMIC DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THE MAGIC BALLOON
This week, Simony published an apology on her social networks, to Ticiane Pinheiro. All because of an excerpt from the documentary “A Superfantástica História do Balão”, where the singer snubs the presenter.
Simony said she was replaced by her “rival”, forgetting Tici’s name, and that she didn’t watch any episode with the blonde leading the attraction on Globo.
“I was so stressed, so tired, that I went out and Jair (Oliveira) and the other girl were still there… Ticiane, right, I think? I haven’t seen any shows with her. Like: ‘I was afraid of losing my job, scared to death of who would replace me?’ I never had that fear,” said the singer, in a 2021 recording.
The scene went viral and Simony decided to ask Ticiane for forgiveness: “When I recorded the documentary, I hadn’t gone through everything I went through and am still going through. I have a year and a half of treatment. . I thought I was very rude, very ugly in my words with Ticiane. I didn’t think it was cute, I didn’t feel happy to have spoken that way. You (Ticiane) are an incredible girl, you have your talent. Forgive me for being so mediocre, so ugly what I told you. I already sent you a message here in direct, but I want people to know how beautiful it is to recognize the mistake. I was wrong. I’m not even the Simony from that documentary anymore.”
