Single “Bellakeo” with Anitta and Peso Pluma enters Billboard Hot 100

Last Tuesday (26), it was announced that the reggaeton partnership “Bellakeo” between Anitta and Peso Pluma reached #71 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main music chart in the United States and one of the most influential in the world. It is worth mentioning that this is the third time that the Brazilian debuts on the list.

Officially released on December 7th, the duo's song has also conquered other spaces since its arrival. On Spotify Global, they appeared in 26th position, with 3,012,259 plays in the last 24 hours of Friday (22). Anitta's performance with Peso Pluma went viral on the Tiktok social network, boosting the global charts of the music platform day after day. An example of the same happening was with the hit “Involve” which was a huge success on Tiktok, earning the artist several awards and worldwide visibility.

New paths in an international career

Born in Honório Gurgel, Rio de Janeiro, singer and songwriter Anitta took another step in her international career in 2023, with the release of her next album, “Funk Generation”, scheduled to be released in the first half of the new year. The song “Funk Rave”, her first single, earned the artist her second VMA in a row, a historic milestone for the singer's career and for the funk industry.

Proving that this year was one of her best years, Anitta performed at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on September 12th with a medley of songs from her new EP “Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story”, in addition to joining the K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER.

It is worth mentioning that Anitta was the first Brazilian to win an MTV Moon Person. Trophy at the awards ceremony, in the Best Latin Artist category. She was also nominated for the Best New Artist in Music award at the 65th edition of the Grammys, the main award in the music industry. “After 50 years, Brazil is at the Grammys”said the singer in a post on social media.

Additionally, earlier this year, Anitta was confirmed to star in Netflix's teen series, “Elite”. The singer also stood out at this year's MET Gala by wearing an exclusive Marc Jacobs look at the event, whose theme was “A Line Of Beauty”, in homage to the German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Another milestone in Anitta's international career was her performance at the opening of the 2022-23 Champions League final, at the Atatürk Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, with the new song “Funk Rave”, a partnership with DJ Gabriel do Borel. The singer was also one of the main attractions at the Global Citizen Festival, an activism platform that seeks to draw attention to causes such as the environment and extreme poverty in the world.

Carnival of the powerful 2024

Singer Anitta's pre-Carnival show will take place on January 6, 2024. The project promises to explore costumes inspired by Rio de Janeiro parades. The cities that will host the show will be Florianópolis (07/01), Brasília (13/01), Fortaleza (14/01), Recife (20/01), Rio de Janeiro (21/01), São Paulo (25/01 and 04/02), Belo Horizonte (27/01), Vitória (28/01) and Curitiba (03/02).
