Sony is working on Netflix series about Dutch game Horizon Zero Dawn

game Horizon Zero – The Dutch-produced game Horizon Zero Dawn gets its own series on Netflix. There will also be TV shows of the games God of War and Gran Turismo, Sony announced Thursday during a presentation with investors.

Horizon Zero Dawn takes place in an open world full of fictional flora and mechanical fauna. In the game, players control the hunter Aloy in her mission to explore the world. The game appeared in 2017.

Earlier this year, successor Horizon Forbidden West came on the market.

Sony has not yet given any further details about the series, except that it is being made for Netflix. It is still unclear when the episodes will appear and whether they will largely follow the story of the game.

The company also announced that it is working on a series based on the popular action-adventure game God of War, which should appear on Amazon Prime Video.

In addition, a third series is in the works about the racing game Gran Turismo. It is not yet known on which platform that TV show should appear.

Sony has been focusing on converting games into series or movies for some time. For example, HBO is currently working on a TV show that is based on the zombie game The Last of Us and there will also be a film about action game Ghost of Tsushima.
