Soyeon GIDLE: First Solo, Windy!

K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE's Jeon Soyeon has released her first solo mini album, “Windy” and the music video for the song “BEAM BEAM“. Soyeon's solo project features five tracks, in addition to marking the member's solo return, with Soyeon's last solo release being in 2018, with the single “Idle Song“, held on February 28, 2018.

Jeon Soyeon, most often credited in her music career simply as Soyeon, is a singer, rapper, songwriter, record producer, dancer, choreographer and member of the k-pop group (G)I-DLE. Soyeon has been represented by Cube Entertainment since 2016. The artist also became popularly known for having competed in the reality shows Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar 3.

In addition, Soyeon also participates in the virtual groups K/DA, a female k-pop group, and True Damage, a hip-hop group, both from the famous game League of Legends, by Riot Games.

In addition to Soyeon, other members of (G)I-DLE have also been working on solo music. Most recently, Yuqi made her solo debut on May 13, 2021 with the single “The Page“, which features the songs “Giant” and “Bonnie & Clyde“. On May 28, 2021, member Miyeon also released a solo song, with the English translated title, “You Were My Breath“. On April 29, 2021, k-pop group (G)I-DLE released the song “Last Dance“.

(G)I-DLE is a K-pop girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group consists of six members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. On May 2, 2018, the group debuted with their first mini-album, titled “I Am” including the single “Latata“. On July 31, 2019, the group officially debuted in Japan through the record label U-Cube with the single “Latata” in the Japanese version upon its debut.

In 2018, the group was considered one of the most successful South Korean girl groups not from South Korea's top 3 record labels.

The members of (G)I-DLE are directly involved in the creation of their work. Member Soyeon has written, co-written, and co-produced most of the group's songs, while members Minnie and Yuqi have also written a good number of songs for the K-pop group (G)I-DLE.
