Summer project now!!

It’s the middle of May and it’s the perfect time to start Project Summer, dear runners and athletes. Yes, I know that winter is starting now, that there are about nine months left for the next carnival, that the cold weather makes you more hungry and lazy to move, but this is where we separate who is firm in spirit and who is more in it for fun.

And just kidding, I’m not talking about those who run or move just worrying about aesthetics. On the contrary, it is precisely these people who should be most concerned about Projeto Verão! After all, it doesn’t make the slightest sense to start worrying about it only when summer is approaching, around November, when we’ll only have a month of solid training before the end of year festivities arrive and their respective excesses. In other words, it enters January practically the way it started in November: practically zero result. Or else he manages to make an intensive effort, he screws himself up at the end of the year to try to arrive with some gain and even get some results, but far from being at his best. And then in January, summer, vacations and… how to continue?

It has to start in May, June at the most! Yes, because it starts slowly, without killing yourself in training, without starving yourself on the crazy diet of the time. Long-term, gradual adaptation, without a shock phase, without major trauma.

Will there be a day that will be cold as hell? Go. Will there be a day when laziness will be deadly? Go. But if the person manages to overcome inertia and go to the street, gym, park or court to exercise, he will realize that he is not alone. There will always be someone there, super comfortable, without complaining, happy as hell to be moving.

Yes, they are precisely those who do not need the Summer Project. Because for them there is no bad time. Exercise is as much a habit of life as eating breakfast or watering plants.

Do you want to be one of those people? So try starting this year’s Summer Project in May. And if it works out, next year this text will just be nonsense that you, at most, will want to show to another person, sedentary, who keeps complaining that he couldn’t lose weight last summer…
