Surprise Free Show in So Paulo!

The passage of Skrillex for Brazil would not only be marked by his performance at Lollapalooza 2023. The American DJ performed a free show in São Paulo before leaving the country. The event was announced by Instagram of the artist.

Yesterday afternoon, Good Friday (7), the DJs Skrillex and Jyoty organized a free surprise show at Arts Squarein São Paulo, before Skrillex left the country. He has been on national soil since last week, when he replaced the rapper Drake on the last day of Lollapalooza 2023.

The square, located in the central region of the city and used as a cultural space, gradually filled up after the artists' announcement in the stories of their accounts on Facebook. Instagram.

Still part of the surprise, British singer MIA also appeared at the venue. She was passing through Brazil this week and had no shows scheduled. On her Twitter account, the singer shared that she received the invitation through a video call. After a fan complained online that he didn't know the artist was in the city, she shared a screenshot. During the surprise show, MIA sang the hit “Bad Girls” and was filmed by several fans who managed to get to the scene. On Twitter, a fan vented: “I'm angry that MIA is in Brazil and she didn't say anything. She could easily sell out a show here, but she decides out of nowhere to play in a random square in São Paulo without giving those who would like to see her the opportunity to do that”published.

The performance was Skrillex's last in Brazil, at least until now. It is possible that after this reception from Brazilian fans, the DJ will continue to return to Brazil with shorter intervals.
