Tesla sued again for misleading – A Tesla owner from the United States has filed a class action lawsuit against the automaker. The man accuses the company of presenting the self-driving functions of the cars much nicer than they are.

In the indictment, Tesla is accused of creating commercials that suggest that the cars can drive more independently than is actually possible. “Tesla hasn’t produced anything even close to a fully self-driving car,” said Tesla owner Briggs Matsko.

According to him, Tesla would like to “enthusiasm” people through the commercials. The company would also like to attract investment in this way, stimulate sales, avoid bankruptcy and drive up the share price.

Briggs filed the class action lawsuit in federal court in San Francisco. The case concerns all US individuals who have purchased or leased Tesla vehicles with the self-driving features since 2016. The automaker has yet to comment on the lawsuit.

Tesla uses two systems for the self-driving functions: Autopilot and Full Self-Driving. The latter system is intended to allow the cars to drive fully autonomously in the future, but is currently being tested. (Tesla sued again for misleading advertising about self-driving features)

At the beginning of August, Tesla was already accused by the California regulator DMV of misleading advertising. That case also concerns the self-driving functions of the vehicles.
