Mdoda (947) and Bingwa (702) will compete with Tsiki (Metro FM), David O’Sullivan (Kaya FM), Wayne Hart (Algoa FM) and Martin Bester (Jacaranda FM) in the category for commercial breakfast show presenter.

Mdoda’s show Anele and The Club is also nominated for best breakfast show.

“I share this industry recognition with all our listeners across Joburg who make the show what it is. Our listeners are co-hosts, they help drive our content and their engagement is what makes the show come alive,” Mdoda said.

“The acknowledgment is always welcome and I would like to congratulate my fellow finalists who help make great breakfast radio in the country.”

“This is big recognition from our industry experts. For me and my team [it means we] are on the right track because we have two nominations. Last year I won and I realised my contribution to the lives of our listeners through the content we dish [out] every day,” Komanisi said.

Kaya FM’s Dhlomo’s return to radio has paid off.

He is recognised in the commercial afternoon drive presenter, where he will wrestle for the award Nick Hamman (5fm), Rian Van Heerden (Jacaranda FM) and John Perlman (702).
