The Blacklist has been renewed for a tenth season. The ninth season is currently still running, but the American TV channel NBC is already announcing that the TV series will continue.
The reason for the early reveal of the tenth season is that The Blacklist will return to American TV on Friday instead of Thursday from this week. Due to the cancellation of the Law & Order: For the Defense series , the first nine episodes of the ninth series of The Blacklist aired on Thursday.
In the tenth season, in any case, protagonist James Spader returns. Actress Megan Boone said goodbye to her lead role in the successful series at the end of the eighth season.
About 22 million people watch The Blacklist per episode in the United States. In the Netherlands, the series can be viewed on demand via both Videoland and Netflix.
KRO-NCRV makes reality-based conspiracy thriller about Bijlmer disaster
Thirty years after the Bijlmer disaster, in which a Boeing 747 crashed into an apartment building in the Amsterdam district of Bijlmermeer, a drama series is being made about the events. KRO-NCRV is making the five-part series Rampvlucht, which will be shown on NPO1 from the autumn.
Rampvlucht is a reality-based thriller about the Bijlmer disaster itself and “the many questions and mysterious events” that arose as a result.
The series is co-directed by Lourens Blok (known for The Story of the Netherlands ) and Edson da Conceicao ( Last Ride ).
On October 4, 1992, a Boeing 747 of the Israeli airline company El Al crashed into an apartment building in Bijlmermeer with mostly goods on board. An investigation revealed that the safety pin of one of the engines had come loose.
In the months after the disaster, residents and rescue workers became ill, after which extensive research was carried out into the cause and the consequences of the disaster itself. This eventually led to a parliamentary inquiry in 1998 about what information had been withheld.
