According to the Ministry of Health, people who have less access to preventive exams are more likely to have the disease. “More disadvantaged groups are also more likely to have greater exposure to a range of other risk factors, such as tobacco, an unhealthy diet or environmental hazards.”
The first time Ana Maria Braga had cancer was in 1991. It was skin cancer, and she was free of the disease for 10 years.
In 2001 the presenter had cancer in the groin and rectum. After fourteen years the disease manifested itself again, it was a tumor in the left lung.
In 2020 lung cancer appeared again. Regarding the disease, Ana Maria assumes her share of the blame, “It’s natural for that to happen. But you have to really believe. I said ‘I’ll handle it’. I never imagined that the disease would be bigger than me”he said in an interview with Folha in 2016. “I smoked for so long, it’s predictable. It was my fault. I mean, it’s not guilt, it’s addiction. I’m addicted to nicotine, like a drug addict or an alcoholic.”

About the battle that the two faced, she said in her program“Regarding this subject, cancer, we had the opportunity to exchange a lot of optimism for life. Similar problems, similar relationships, similar loves, they only grow, they only add up. We identified a lot. Many sunrises that we saw it together. Go with God, my friend, my confidant.”
